Creating a World War 3 YouTube series.

A month of so ago I released a quasi-realistic stop motion video, you can find the thread here.

From here, I want to create something more epic, more action-packed, but at the same time keeping the quasi-realism.
After reading Team Yankee and Red Storm Rising, I feel that a war in Europe is definitely the way to go. I created a rough storyline and set to work creating a video that will introduce this initial storyline, which I then evolved into the intro of a 5-10 part series that I hope to create.

This series, as yet untitled, will follow a US Mechanised Infantry company (Tank Heavy) through a fictional war through Kazakhstan. I hope to make it a 5-10 part series that will go from the start of the war all the way to its conclusion. Following the wisdom from Red Storm Rising and Team Yankee, the war will only last 2 weeks to a month and will feature the Peoples Liberation Army invading Kazakhstan for its agricultural resources, and NATO (US + EU) come to Kazakhstan's aid.

At the moment I am developing Episode 1, and I wanted to share with Mordor my ideas.

The general storyline is that China invades Kazakhstan in a blitzkrieg, trying to secure a foothold before the UN can intervene. China's motivation is to secure more farmland and real estate so that its population can continue to grow. NATO responds, as the UN and US/EU populations condemn China's actions, redeploying its forces in Afghanistan to stall the PLA until more NATO forces can arrive.

These are the forces I have to play with:

- 5 Type 99 MBT's
- 3 WMZ551's
- 2 Jeeps
- 6 Squads of Infantry

NATO
- 1 AS 90 SPG
- 2 M1A2 Abrams
- 2 Challenger II's
- 2 M2A3 Bradleys
- 1 Warrior IFV
- 3 USMC Squads
- 3 British Royal Marine squads
- 1 Ranger Squad
- 1 SAS Squad
- 1 Blackhawk
- 1 T-55 tank for Kazakh miltary.
- Shadow Transports. These are ugly so I may not use them.

on a more serious note though - you completely left out the Ruskies. you think they would just passively look at wtf is going on there?

I would be more than happy to have Russians in the war (On NATO's side) but I have absolutely no Russian models. I have a T-55 but the Kazakhs will use that, which is actually kinda accurate considering the best gear the Kazakhs have are T-62's.

So far we successfuly started 2, so if you want to add a little bit of twist to your plot,
i'd start off with a guy in mountains firing his STG77 / Steyr AUG
